If you've got that much HD space used for temp files, try setting your cache memory for something smaller.

"Tools"
"Internet Options"
"General"
"Temporary Internet Files"
"Settings"

Set for something around 40-50 megs. That's more than enough room.

The same serial she's given to at least 20 others on here. And yet each and every one of you is more than happy to skip over the screen that EXPLICITLY says stolen keys will prevent the program from operating correctly, without the user knowing.

Far be it for me to try and help some bro's. Feel free to accept the recommendation of a security program and it's illegally distributed serial number from someone with absolutely zero qualifications to make the recommendation. Feel free to use a companies product whose blatent unethical business practices are widely documented

Can't answer right now. I'm in jail. I pulled this tag off my mattress and the FBI, ATF, and CIA raided my house before I could flush the evidence.

No. Just that a lot of files you try to rid of can be eliminated by reducing the cache size. I occasionally sanitize my HD, and it doesn't take that long to go through all of it.

babygorilla i think thats a good idea
if you do that it will take the evidence elim prog a lot less time to destroy the files you dont want ever to be discovered

sorry to hear about your run in with the mattress police ;)

No problem, just getting perturbed that my repeated attempts to get ANY of you to do any research regarding the program in question falls on deaf ears.

Depends on your needs. If your just worried about your system bieng taken and examined, the best advice I could get would be something that encrypts the bootdrive likeDrive Crypt Plus Pack or to image the drive from a clean state then wipe the drive and restore from the image if you ever feel "in danger". I'm hesitant to fully recommend the drivecrypt product. I haven't tested it personally myself. All I have to go by is the word of others whose knowledge I respect posting thier opinions on alt.security.scramdisk. However, as far as I know, it's the only software product I know which will encrypt a boot partition.

Trying to clean a windows system is a futile effort. Microsoft likes to hide LOTS of information in LOTS of places. I won't trust my personal security to a company who I can't trust. Read through my original link and I'm fairly certain you'd come to the same conclusion.

nothing pisses me off more than someone bitchin and moanin but not comin out with what they got to say
I came out with exactly what I wanted to say. I think the product is crap. I know the company is unethical. Working in the industry I feel that my experience gives me some insight that others who don't understand the intracies of computer security might miss.

The fact that I didn't originally recommend a different product is because I didn't want to seem like I had a vested interest in someone using a competing product. The original link I posted has links to other software (mostly free) which will accomplish the same thing Evidence Eliminator claims to.

Please don't mistake my frustration as an insult. To Star or anyone else on this board. It's not meant that way. I think it's very nice of her to be looking out for others and trying to help them. However, I think her efforts are misguided.

The only point I'm trying to make is do your own research before you blindly rely on this program to save your ass if your computer happends to get confiscated.
