The more I learn about society, the angrier I get. As the shroud of mystery slowly dissipates, I see the truly grotesque face of this country. The real criminals are the self-righteous bastards who dare think they have the answers for everyone else. The ones who believe they have the wisdom to tell others how to operate themselves, how to live their lives. How tragic it is that these are the people who hold offices of power and wield their propaganda like shepard crooks as they lead the gullible sheep to the slaughter. Do the names Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, or Saddam Hussein ring a bell? They are just a few names of those that share this philosophy. Others I should certainly not forget are George Bush Sr., George W. Bush, William Jefferson Clinton (better known as Bill Clinton), Al Gore, and lets give an extra dishonorable mention to the extremely dangerous John Ashcroft. Yes, their atrocities on humanity are less than those of the latter names, but I believe that is partially due to their limited power. Don’t think for a second Ashcroft wouldn’t rule this country with an iron fist if he had the chance.
As a society we must always lean towards freedom when there is any doubt in what is “right”. Only the very most fundamental laws that keep society from going into chaos should be enforced, things that directly cause harm to other human beings. Other than stealing, various kinds of assault, fraud, and murder, there is very little that should be dealt with. After all, the most despicable things of all tend to go unpunished. Blatant lies on infomercials, gold digging wives (Anna Nicole Smith anyone?), fathers who abandon their children, and the list goes on and on. Imagine if a police officer had to arrest themselves everytime they went 10 mph over the speed limit? Would we have any cops? What if a politician had to serve the same jail time as an ordinary citizen for the same crime? Would we have any politicians? No one deserves our total trust; therefore no one deserves any degree of power to control our lives.
