Now is that good or bad? I used to think that it was only a good thing, but I'm noticing the 'quality' of life for some people who are on the 'fast track' and now I'm not so sure.

Honestly - I don't really care - however, it does take "normal" thinking and turn it upside down - which I always love. It seems that lately - within the last 10 or so years - American workers have a reputation for being lazy and over paid. Now the UN says that's not true - I like when that happens.

I'd rather be laid back, being able to take several weeks vacation per year and enjoy life.

This is one thing I despise about America. One study I heard recently concluded that Americans almost have a sense of shame if they miss work, even if it's a vacation day.

whatever it is, it's ridiculous. Most other countries have much more vacation. This is America though, I suppose we all have to have materialistic things to show off with. Thus we work to the point where life isn't really fun anymore.

I would love the Spanish work schedule - Work in the morning - eat a huge lunch - take a few hours off - come back to work until about 8pm or so - have a nice Tapas dinner and get wasted. That appeals to me.
