US might lose this war!!!!!!!

Let us all pray that Bush stops this war soon and sends our boys back home as we might loose this.

The way this all looks is like a replay of Mogadishi,Vietnam, Korea, and Afghanistan when soviet tried to invade it. I am afraid that Iraq will "win" this conflict.


Why?


Iraqis are fighting for their lives, we are fighting for god knows what. If we loose this conflict, Washington will remain safe. If iraqis loose it, than baghdad will be permanently occupied....


Some reasons:

a) American troopers lack morale. (Especially that guy who threw a grenade on his own people).

B) Americans are poorly trained. American troops attacked one of their own units!!!!!!! Americans bombed their own allies in Afganistan, and crashed choppers.... Who has done something like this before??

31-37 marines were injured. It took 90 minutes for dumb asses to figure it out!

c)Some of american technology is defective. Example, those patriot batteries. Why did the fighter jet have to bomb patriot missile battery few days ago? Because the missile battery targeted the plane!!!!!!!!!


d)The choppers are so bad, that even a primitive rifle is enough to take it down! And you do not even need a rifle! Incompetent pilots will do. Just look at all the choppers "crashing".

e)Americans/British are loosing troops at a very alarming rate.
Do not beleive into the government numbers!
The real numbers may be 10x as much. Personally I would not be surprised if 1000 troopers died by now. The generals and commanders do not want embarassment and problems! If things were going very badly, would you think they would say it? NO!

The first casualty of war is truth!


For example, why is that we are not allowed to show American POWs, yet iraqi prisoners are free to grace the american screen?

Now it is said that the war will take longer than expected. That isnt good news, and neither are the news about reinforcements.

If everything was going well, we would not have all of this. This is a war that America is ill prepared, and its military is risking it.

Please BUSH, stop this. Let us attack the real criminals and not these diaper heads, who will die by themselves anyways (they are starving, thanks to you).

Im curious about your experience with the American military. Have you been involved or witnessed some of the training, use of equipment, such as choppers? Shit happens in war but If we are so poorly trainined I'd hate to see how the rest of the world is in the shitters then

If you haven't been in the service, you shouldn't be talking about things you clearly have no clue about..... IFF (identify friend/foe) radar helps, but it certianly isn't perfect... Also, there's always room for human error in ANY armed conflict. Soldiers fire on each other in confusing situations, and sometimes there are friendly fire casualties, it happens, it sucks, but it's war... As far as that asshole who bombed his own comrades, he's a piece of shit and I hope they line his ass up in front of a firing squad. That said, the crap you're spewing isn't even close to true. Our military people have the highest morale for the most part of any armed force in the world. I'd like to see you answer TXARMYGUY's question, I'd bet the only combat/military experience you have is playing GI Joe in mommy's back yard with squirt guns....

While it is understandably that you might shoot your own trooper by accident. I do not see how it can happen for 1.5 hours!!!
Did the morons forgot to check their monitors or someone at the HQ who monitors troop movements was asleep??

This new system of warefare makes 99% of our military obsolete. Most of our vast weapons are useless. Who do we attack, with what weapons, and to what end? The suicide crazies know no borders. They march in no regular army. By day they sell dates in the bazaar. By night they set off weapons of mass destruction against civilian populations. Tanks, jets and ships are useless against this up coming enemy. An enemy who has infiltrated our borders and hides among the very people he is about to destroy.

This is the ultimate war that concerns me.

The only Iraqis that are fighting for thier lives are the ones that are concerned that they are going to die, I.E. Sadaam's militia and republican guard. The only regular army and civilians that are fighting are those that the militia kidnapped thier kids and told them "fight or your kids die", or the ones that are told, "if you defect, we'll shoot you in the back on your way out." As far as saying this will increase terrorist activity, that's debatable. I think that terrorists will attack us no matter what.

Bad example, this guy is a converted muslim, looks like he's on the extreme side, that was pissed because he said to his family that it's hard for a black man to make rank in the military... Wow, you're stupidity baffles me... In a desert environment, when you can barely see, there's bound to be friendly fire incidents..... Crashed choppers??? Do you have any idea how many sorties those choppers fly??? Obviously not, or you wouldn't be saying that it's pilot error that's crashing these choppers all the time.

Like I said in my previous post, IFF radar is NOT infallable, but it does help... Think of all the friendly fire in WW2 and 'nam before IFF.

It is possible to shoot down a chopper with anti tank rifle. What has bigger armor, tank or a chopper?


Also. IRAQ WAS INVADED. Do not expect them to give roses to ourr troops. When their country is invaded, they fight for Iraq - not saddam.


About a number of soldier killed. It is not unusual to understate your cassualties and overstate theirs!


There is no way you can calculate by yourself, you have to rely on other sources. Too bad al jazeera was hacked, maybe they have a more realistic number.


About letters. This is the worst possible way to count the number of dead/alive. The military families do not talk to each other and establish consensus. Also during wartime it is possible that the soldiers do not have time to write letters, thus the cheifs can say something like "your soldier is alive and busy in baghadad" while in the real life the soldier is dead.

Also, if those families spot a difference between official and what they think, do you think that they will tell on US gov? Do you think that US gov will allow it? No! Just like CNN/FOX/MSNBC censors everything, gov does the say so that you do not know the real numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alex, the article said the friendly fire AND the battle lasted 90 minutes. the friendly fire alone didn't last 90 minutes.
 
The USA's armed forces do have a reputation amongst the forces of other countries as being undertrained. However, in this situation I think the UK will manage to carry you :)

The think the USA / UK will sort this situation out if they stay focussed.

Do you think that there weren't any mistakes or acciddents in WWII and every other war that the U.S. has fought? It is part of war. It is not a lack of training or consideration. Shit happens in war we will win

The us is dominent in all military aspects but the fucking critics amaze me when they act like we lost a war that has only been going on for what 10 days or so. We are killing thousands of them. They will lose. How the fuck do people expect us to have already taking over bagdad. I think the real problem is that our generation is not use to real WAR. we still have images of the last war which was just to scare the iraqis out of the territory. The mission here is completely different. This is war, expect the un expected, some of our troops will die, but we will prevail and kill way more of them than they do us. Nobody ever said this was going to be easy. and our technology obviously helps but in house to house fighting, it can get in the way, that is why we are going slow and doing this right. We have the power to wipe out that whole fucking country in days with bombs but we are avoiding collateral damage and for that more of our troops are going to die. And still people bash our country as bullies and murderes. I also understand everyone has a right to their opinion and free speach, but if you really don't like this country GET THE FUCK OUT AND DON'T COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always wondered what it was like to be ignorant. can you explain how it feels?

Just because its not going EASY doesnt mean we will lose. We have nearly 100 percent air supremecy. And we have the far better fire power. So what is the problem? I just dont get some of you people.
 
BTW- does anyone remember that we bombed those fucking towelheads for like 21 days before invading with gound troops in Desert Storm?

There is also a reasonable chance that Sadaam is dead.

I hear a lot of belly aching about how hard it is going and how America may lose…Please, Iraq is going to fall within weeks.

In about two weeks the American Military has taken 40% of Iraq. Sure there is some fighting going on…but, it is only because AMERICA is showing restraint in dealing with these cowards who are hiding amongst women and children.

If America had wanted to….we could have leveled each city at will. I believe if we weren’t so concerned with that…we could have taken Iraq without a single U.S KIA.
