US alliances in the future?

Abuse of power or authority may be the prime source and true essence of moral evil

and what's scary about Japan and Canada being the last US alliances in the futures?

I'm simply pointing out bro that all the powers you mentioned were brutal and disliked from the start. So it would be just as accurate to label those qualities as traits of a successful superpower.

The simple truth is that no one can stay on top forever for any number of reasons. Bad behavior and not being popular were hardly the causes of their demise. If anything Britians Empire fell to an even more brutal and vicious one in Germany. The Romans fell to the most brutal barbarians imaginable, as did most of the rest.

Japan isnt scary:) I wouldnt wish to place our hopes and security on Canada coming to our aid.

But India and a few others are real future strategic partners.

What makes you think India will still be a US ally in the future?

India and China which were enemies for a long time through history are now making economic alliances for their huge energy needs and look for more collaborations

As for Canada with the oil sands and water reserve it will soon be a precious ally

India and China will always be at odds for hegemony in the region. Not to mention significant land disputes between the two.

Economically they each represent low cost labor countries that will remain in fierce competition for decades to come. China and Pakistan will be stronger longer term partners than India and China.

No one is putting down Canada brohaim. We are so similar as to make any differences absurd. Canada will remain a long term strategic and economic partner, as well as a neighbor and friend. I just don't see Canada ramping up its military to any significant degree in the near future. Nor should they. Why waste the money when you border the US. It would be just pissing cash away.

Japan however will have to and will do so monumentally.

Someone knows what they are talking about. Canada's oil is a huge advantage, having more fresh water than the rest of the world combined will eventually be an even bigger one.

Canada doesn't have the people (labour) and i hear alberta is going thru a crisis cuz companies have to shut down, cuz they don't have employees or wages are getting ridiculous.

if u want, we can send a few hundred thousand mexicans up there. We won't miss 'em a bit :)

Talking about Japan there are huge suspicions that they are secretly planning to develop nuclear weapons

They have the technology and the raw materials

And the possession of nuclear weapons is not forbidden in their constitution even though after WWII they claimed they would never acquire any

In the past it has alwasy been Europe. But they have pretty much effectively disarmed themselves so would be next to useless, even if otherwise inclined, should any significant hostilities materialize. Britian has been the exception, but I'm doubtful that the relationship will survive Tony Blair.

I forsee that when you die you don't have worry about it anymore.

In a not so far future we will probably see countries fighting for the last drops of oil, water or other natural ressources (if ideology or religion doesn't cause world wars before)

Develop?

We'd give them to Japan if they wished.
