Ok, so I hit upper right glute (while sitting down), but after injection, when I looked at the injection spot I noticed that although the needle entered the glute area 1.5" deep, I shot too far on the right that the distance the gear is in from the right side isn't too far from the skin / not too deep when measuring from the right side but 1.5" deep from the back (very edge of upper right glute) where it entered (so most likely gear would be under muscle, but when considering depth on the right (around hip) it isn't too deep..any further to the right would be skin/fat). Hope that makes sense. So I was wondering if there was a chance gear could be wasted and/or if there is risk for abscess in this case since gear would be considered not too deep, under muscle but close to the surface from the right side, as explained. If anyone could give some insight on this particular case that would be great, thanks.
