Update on "Ab" contraptions

I actually borrowed the very same in the picture in that link from a friend of mine. Total waste. Felt like someone poking me with a pencil. Did not contract my muscles at all. Thank god I didn't bother buying one to try it.

I remember someone asking a while back if the "ab-tronic" belts worked. I responded with at least two solid reasons why it wouldn't: the need for diet, no real resitance so no results, and some more stuff that I don't recall at the moment.

Anyway, this guy argued with me for a good ten or twelve posts. He was basically saying that since I'd never tried it, how can I say it doesn't work?

Some people are so desparate to lose weight that they will believe anything, even when presented with logical arguements why quick fixes don't work. So I gave up. Told him to go ahead and blow his money on is little machine and see what happens. Never heard a word again.

It just goes to show me that we never learn, except how to eat more. I can't wait to see what the next gadget is.

thats because hes made millions as a "male model" with chiseled abs of steel.

hehehe.

I always think of the quote "Abs are made in the kitchen...not the gym!"

But personally...i think around 5 or so% of your results can be attributed to the gym...people with perfect diets who never work out rarely have chiseled abs.

I don't know about you guys, but if someone says "whoa, how'd you get abs like that", I'd rather not say "well, i strapped on my ab tronic while drinking my muscle tech".
