Cool. I downloaded that beta 2 cd ISO that was around, but I could never get it to work for more than 30 seconds without crashing.

I heard about a trojan in the beta iso, so I never dloaded it. I might actually "buy" THIS game.

i have been waiting for this mofo all summer. right now as far as i am aware of, the demo is ready and they are just looking for mirrors to put it up on. i downloaded an early beta version like you did, bollix, and it gave me some fatal error so i have yet to play it either. all i've seen are the screenshots which look pretty damn good. all i play is instagib though, so i'm kind of anxious to see how much they've changed that in ut2k3.

According to Mark Rein "It's very possible it could be ready as early as today or as late as Friday." It’ll be just under 100MB zipped, contain 4 maps (2 DM, 1 CTF, 1 Bombing Run), won’t have all the weapons and will only have one player model ("That was the only way to keep it under 100Mb.").

Everyone has the blue pulse rifle and one shot obliterates whoever you shoot in that mode. Obliterates them into "gibs" of flesh like the rocket launcher or somes shit.

what kind of system is required to run this game lads?

it'll run on a 1ghz machine but you need a decent video card for it to be playable. like at least a geforce 2 or equivalent. the graphics are really good, big improvement over the original ut.
