is a unopen package that wasnt signed for still considered possession if caught with it? after all anybody could have sent that package right?

I think we need a lawyer on this board. 
that way all these damn shipping questions could have good answers. I'm sure if you in no way have linked this package to yourself then you are in the clear. Even if they do try to pull some bs on you, call up a lawyer for a consultation and he'll explain to you how many backdoors there are when it comes to shipping... was the package originally in your name?

of course...fraud at a PO is a felony on its on. You can never know to much when it comes to even the smallest loop-hole

If something is sent to your house under someone elses name and you do not sign for it - then you have done nothing wrong.
If you have a package, write return to sender on it and leave it by the front door. If the feds come, you can say you were returning it. If they are not there within 3-4 days the coast is clear.
I know some will disagree with this statement. But I would love to see any prosecutor try to prove to a jury that even though you were returning someone elses package - It was yours.
The main thing to be careful about when expecting a package. Is to make sure your house is clean. b/c they will most likely search the premise.

you/ve got your lawyer here. Always send the ancillary in your own name to your address. As there is nothing to worry about. You are allowed a 3 month supply. However, with respect to anabolics or controlled substances, one would be wise not to order from out of country; and definitely not sign for any package. The minute you sign for it gets you on possession. Remember, just because the package came to you does not mean that you are not being watched. The quantity that was ordered may be too small at this point to pursue prosecution. They may have let it through.
If i were defending a case where my client was charged with possession --- just because he received mail to his home in someone elses name -- with return to sender on it, good luck getting a conviction. However, if there was a search warrant and they found syringes, and other AS ancillary aswell as AS.... then good luck with the defense... could be tough. NEVER SIGN FOR A PACKAGE IF THERE ARE CONTROLLED ITEMS!!!
