Unknown disease in Katrina hit area

I was talking to my friend last night and he was telling me about a sad story. His neighbor went to the LA/MS area with some church members to help the victims only to come down with a disease the Dr's have yet to diagnose. The guys wife told my neighbor that their family was flying up to see him as he will probably die from something the Dr's can't find.

The way he made it sound is that the Dr's really didn't know what was wrong, not that she didn't know what was wrong

Either way, that's scary

I have never been a fan of tourist coming down to my hood attempting to blend of fit in. Stay home , especially now. If you are in the military and are scheduled to come down , that's one thing. Tourists should stay home until the area has been deemed "safe"

I used to offshore fish and yes the area still smells like "death" You would know what this smell is , if your

1. a mortician
2. butcher cattle
3. offshore fish (applies to me)

Nothing like this has never happened before. Considering that many people from other areas are coming down here, The enviornmental change alone may be enough to cause health problems
