UK Starts to come to its senses

Likewise. I used to be pretty good with rifle and pistol shooting at school, and used to go shooting with a friend who was on the UK pistol team before the ban.

ditto

(thats actually very scary...this dude shot rifles for britain)

why stop pistol firearm shooting in military run ranges. if they would allow rifle training, why stop the piostols  i bet i would have been reral good with a pistol...now i havent shot for months...

err.. what dude shot rifles for Britain?

chinese dude...went by the name of kai pun

i just mean we both shot for our schools and nationally and both had a mate who shot for britain

but i never shot pistols over here....shotguns, assault rifles, 0.22, air rifles, crossbows, 7.62 rifles and training on all kinds of crazy shit but no pistols....u gotta love it

i have elsewhere... :)

My friend on the UK team had a few pistols (including a nice .357) so he would take me to Bisley where we'd shoot.

It was great stuff, and I do miss it, but I'd gladly give it up in a heartbeat to stop some nutter shooting a bunch of kids (or adults).

I figure that if the ban stops nutters (rather than habitual criminals who can't be stopped from having guns) from going bananas with guns - then it's worth it.

Just my 2 cents. :)

same here bro

but ione thing that is bad is whenever i would hold a gun on school campus, peoples perceptions of me would visibly change. i guess i was so used to firearms if i saw a friend of mine with a firearm i would give 2 shits.

even more funny is that many in my school thought these guns were toys.....:FRlol:

i dont think shooting as a sport deserves the reputation its got purely due to dunblane....the legeslation has made it dificult for anyone to shoot period, not just make sure no-one walks off with a gun, that what i hate

I know more than one woman who has been raped who wouldn't give up her 2nd Amendment rights "in a minute."
I myself have been assaulted by a much taller assailant wielding a machete while I lived in NYC, where of course I had no recourse to concealed carry.
