I am off to London in about a month for a year. From what I have seen so far (I may be wrong), there are not too many big dudes over there. My question is, are the women going to ignore me because I am a bit bigger then most London dudes? I hope not!

lol u are right there arent many big guys. If you are big alot of people will stick the steroid label on you.....but you wont get ignored by women.

BTW you might find that people are intimidated by you if you weigh more than 130lb. They just arent used to it. So walk around with a smile on your face if you want people to talk to you :)

Believe me, there are plenty of big f*ckers all around London and the rest of the UK. However spend your time in the city and all you will see is scrawny office workers, as with any city in the world.

There are plenty of large blokes (UK term for guys) around. Just go to any decent gym and you'll find them.

As mentioned above, smiling is always good though - especially if you want to attract the ladies. :)

I guess things must be different down south huh.....

Birmingham.
Most of the serious lifters around here are competitive powerlifters so they keep their bodyweight down. The only serious gym for bodybuilders seems to be that run by Dorian Yates.....the only big guys I've seen in brum were in there.

Whereabouts in the UK are you located m8?

Just got back from 2 weeks in London.

All I saw (in the city) was scrawny dudes in suits and pink and purple shirts.

Saw lots of opportunities over there, unfortunately I'm old and married.

Check out a club called Sugar Reef, (hey, I didn't name the place  ) Piccadilly Circus. That place was crawling with women.....

All in all a fun time, but would like to see the rest of UK.

Cheers!

I just want to go to england to hear the british accent and pick up on some of the cool lingo. I think they sound the best, but then again it is their language so I guess it should be that way.

I always wanted to have a voice like Patrick Stewart, but I don't.:bawling:

Btw, Patrick Stewart is the man who played Captain Jean Luke Picard on the show Star Trek the Next Generation and he was in a whole bunch of movies.

"Engage, number one" :)

Patrick Stewart is British, and the original post about him said that the guy wanted to go to England to get a British accent like Patrick Stewart.

Patrick Stewart has a more English accent than a Scottish accent anyway.

:)

btw where did you hear that he was Scottish? All the hist I just got on google either said that he was English or British.

he sounds british but maybe he was born in scotland and raised in england. what's the deal? i want the truth, and yes i can handle it.

Scotland, England and Wales are all parts of Britain.

I'm not sure about Northern Ireland as the phrase is normally "Great Birtain and Northern Ireland".

According to the sites that Google produced they all said that he was either British or English. None mentioned Scottish, but then they could be wrong.

With regard to his accent - it is English.
