Well i guess domestic is not that safe after all. A buddy of mine got popped the other day "controlled delivery". I guess the are lookin into suspecious packages no matter what, especially when they are coming from WEST coast to the east. Not sure of the exact details just wanted to post to inform you guys.
Alot of shit went down ever seince sept11 of this month and it seems like its just gettin worse. U.S postal service is not safe by any means.

If they try to get you on a controlled delivery with a package that has your real name on it but you deny to sign for it can you still get popped??
---PEACE---Mad Max

why in the hell would anyone:

A. have the package sent with their real name?
B. have the package sent to when they keep their gear?
C. have anything at all that is illeagal where you live? ? ?

Real name is better than fake...........mailmen see thousands of pieces of mail today, putting a fake name is gonna throw a flag up.

USPS is monitoring thier mail somewhat, dont use them for goodies.

But then again fedex and UPS can open any package they feel the need to.....................where as USPS needs a warrant I believe.

Most likely it was the source that was being watched here. The source could have possibly been working with the feds.

From what i hear and read it seems that packages coming from West Coast like Cali especially San Diego, get alot of attention. In this case i dont know what exactly happend but it was controlled delivery. To my knowledge it was sent express and it was delivered three days late. When he checked out the Confirmation # it was sayin the package was rerouted or something of that nature. From what i see so far looks like US mail is not very safe right now.

Could you give us a hint about the source that sent the package?Like what state he was from, that could possibly keep other people from getting into the same situation.

As an added note USPS is slow as fuck and loses shit all the time. They suck.

Chief Postal Inspector Announces Operation Webslinger

Every day, the U.S. Postal Service delivers 650 million pieces of mail to 145 million addresses across the country. That's 207 billion pieces of mail each year. Some mail contains hazardous, prohibited, or dangerous material and poses a danger to the postal employees who handle it and to the American public.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is responsible for protecting postal employees and customers from dangerous material in the U.S. Mail. It is committed to ensuring the mail is safe and is not used to transport prohibited or dangerous matter. The Postal Inspection Service takes this commitment very seriously.

Last year, Postal Inspectors arrested 1,840 suspects for mailing prohibited material-from child pornography to mail bombs, anthrax hoaxes to threatening letters, firearms to dangerous substances, such as illegal and dangerous narcotics.

Operation Webslinger, being unveiled today, is the result of a coordinated team effort by Postal Inspectors, DEA agents, and other state, local, and federal law enforcement officers, who have been investigating more than 350 suspects for using the mail to traffic dangerous substances throughout the country. With the arrest yesterday of the mailer-operator, Daniel Pelchat, in Quebec, Canada, a major drug distribution network has been dismantled. A nationwide sweep to apprehend customers of Pelchat Labs began yesterday and is continuing. Postal Inspectors made undercover deliveries at locations across the country, and more arrests are expected.

The Postal Inspection Service continues to investigate all illegal schemes that involve the use of the mail. Of particular concern are those that pose a serious threat of harm to postal employees and the American public. The vigilance of Postal Inspectors ensures a safe work environment for America's postal employees and preserves America's confidence in the mail.

There had to other elements involved OTHER than the fact that it might have been a coast-to-coast parcel in order to have a flag on either of the place of origin or the destination. Specifically dealing with the person who received the parcel, they might have had other suspicious pax sent there before. Suspicious pax meaning that there was something leaking, the return addy was non-existant(happens alot), coupled with the fact that it was coming from the West Coast & was an Express Mail Parcel then makes it suspicious. All parcels coming from San Diego, El Paso, Laredo, etc. would bear scruitiny if all it took was location to determine package suspicion.
