I need a 2nd television; I have one 32" Toshiba already. I think i'm down to a 32" wide screen w/HDTV or a 36" normal. Being a guy I like the bigger is better thing, but the 16:9 would come in handy for DVD's. Who's got what? They're both Toshiba flat screens with component inputs. I'm trying to stay between $800-900.

Ypu need component inputs for HD which I`m sure you have but maaybe just not noticed. You need a digital source to watch HD, so if you don`t plan on installing an antenna or getting digital cable for HD or Sat HD, then it`s not really worth it.

Personally though, I would get any new set with HD nowadays. Having said that, I have a regular 50 inch Toshiba and it looks awesome. GREAT picture.

I also have a widescreen 22 inch tv that`s HD looks really good but more money of course.

Bottom line is depends on what programs you plan on watching.

Does`nt that deend on the "angle" you view at? or "stretch"?

That was my original point about HD sources. If it`s not a true HD signal, you won`t fill the screen and have to stretch the picture to fit or zoom the pic to fit the screen. MOST channels are not HD. Only a handful, even then, you need an antenna to get local HD channels.

You're just trying to make me feel better.........phttt!

Not if you have a TRUE widescreen 16*9 picture aspect.

I have a 55 in Panasonic 16*9 widescreen HD...best tv ever.

That with a Dolby digital 5.1 sound system and I'm in movie or gaming bliss. :)
