tuna and mercury

doesn't canned salmon have high mercury levels as well? I was under the impression that the high mercury levels are from pollution in the water.

Beware of the high mercury content in tuna

Beware of the high Dioxins and PCB’s content in dairy products

Beware of the high saturated fat and hormones content in beef

Beware of the high Pesticides/Herbicides content in fruit and vegetables

even the air you breathe is poluted (No2, ozone,....)

just kidding

BTW, you 'll have cancer before you reach any harmful mercury level :D

Well that made me feel much better about the mercury thing! :)

Actually salmon is a fish with one of the lowest levels of mercury.

But of course any company who makes a product is going to tell you their product is "safe" & not bad for you & won't tell you not to buy it.

I haven't felt any side effects from canned tuna myself.

I do hear you on trying to cook 5000 cals a day. Its a pain.
