Yeah, I heard about this on the news a long time ago. I think it was in Japan, and they set up this HUGE tug of war contest. Hundreds of people. With that much pulling power, an arm could easily come off. Obviously they didn't think this through.

Ok I did some research on this... It did'nt make any sence that a guys arm would be ripped off just from holding onto a rope. I figured he'd let go or have his grip fail before having his arm yanked off. Turns out that the 'rope' they were using was a steel cable and they had over 1600 people pulling. The cable snaped and severed the arms off rather than pulling them off.

Either way, who'd want a small arm like that anyways?
