Trying To Lose Weight

I've been chubby for sometime now like 4 years. I'm 20 and I weigh 94 kilos and I am 1.82 meters tall. I gain muscle easily but I am concerned about this: I was told that I can lose muscle if I do cardio and not lift but I definitely want to get rid of the fat in my waist. I recently bought xenadrine I I've been taking it for 3 days now and I'm feeling good but after my cardio I can't lift and since I don't have much time it's either cardio or weights. So my question is should I do cardio 5 times a week or cardio 4 times a week and lift one day ??? How much muscle can I lose ? I'm confident that when I get rid of the fat my muscles will look great. But I don't wanna lose them while trying to lose fat.
 
you need to lift heavy weights at least 3 times/week if you want to maintain your muscle while losing weight.

your current plan - once per week weights and 5 times per week cardio.. is a recipe for muscle wasting disaster.

you know this is the diet forum right? do you eat a lot of protein?
 
i agree with bran....muscle tissues starts catabolizing itself after 5 days non-weihgt training. Eat clean, do intense cardio 3 times a week and lift 4 days a week....this is what i do and it works for me. ;)
