Hit up everyone you know or your friends and family know for some work connections! It's harder for Teens to find jobs now because even a lot of College Grads are burger flipping in this economy!

restaurants, fast food, car washes, these are places that need workers daily. be a server assistant, than be a server and work for your tips.

i'm a college student , i got what I consider a "decent" job in less than two working days. I used my university's job posting system... submitting apps and standard resume stuff didnt' seem to work. i just happened to find an employer that is partiial to univ. students in my area.

so you pretty muuch have to depend on people yuo know or you get lucky.

most people i know in this area that have a high school education, a bachelors degree, or even masters degrees, seems to take them at LEAST 3 months to find a job, some up to a yaer and a half, (that was the MBA, but he could afford to be picky)

go to technical school -learn a trade-become your own boss!!!

Its all about who you know and being lucky.

I've got a dream job for a university student at the moment all because I got very lucky by landing one that was a stepping stone... I answered an online application for market research interviewers and got the job. Did it for 7 months - paid decently, but led to my current job, mystery shopping.

I work for 5 minutes and earn what another student would be earning in one hour. For example, I am paid $US8.25 (+ $US3.00 for the Coke) to buy a Coke from a convenience store and evaluate the service I receive by filling in a survey online.

I just got lucky and one thing led to another. That said, while a nice job as a student, it will be immediately ditched once I graduate!!!

Lie on youe apprication say you worked in at least one retail store if you are applying for a retail job. They usually don't check but they'd rather hire someone who's done retail before. That's what I did for my 1st job.
