trouble buying pins

I never had trouble buying pins....well today i went to about 7 places and every single one they asked me for a script which of course i don't have....any ideas on what i should say?

Say your mother in law is coming into town and she called in a panic and she forgot her needles and she asked me to go to a pharmacy and pick up these.....23 gauge, 1.5 inch, 3cc whatever that means, needles, cause she takes these vitamin injections or something, I don't know, but, her plane lands soon and she said she needs them.......
