Triadic Enneagram Test

I am a four.

Four:

You like to eat humans and slaughter the innocent. Fours have an almost uncanny sense for injustice and will murder accordingly. While fours are definately the greatest of numbers, they often have to deal with the other, more useless numbers. This gives fours the opportunity to gut them and use their innards as clothing.

You scored as a Two or Five.

On your left is a breakdown of your scores, ordered from highest to lowest. If you are not the type you scored highest as, you might be one of the types you scored next highest as. The highest possible score is 28, and the lowest is 0. Each type is linked to additional information on that type. On your right is the breakdown of how many questions you answered in favor of each triad group.

Remember that your Enneagram type is not how you score on a test, and the reliability of this test has not been established. You should regard its results with skepticism, using them only to guide you in discovering for yourself what your Enneagram type is.

Each point in favor of a type comes from answering a question in favor of a triad containing that type. This test measures for four different triads. Three of them are described by Riso & Hudson in The Wisdom of the Enneagram, and three are described by Hurley & Dobson in What's My Type?. All four triads are part of my own Enneagram Theory. It is currently rough and unfinished, but you can look at it in its draft form if you're curious.

Primary Intelligence: Emotional
Coping Style: Positive
Social Style: Compliant
Hierarchical Style: Control

Twos try to retain control over their lives by using their strong emotional intelligence to anticipate and meet (comply to) the needs of others. By making themselves indispensible, Twos feel that they can assure themselves a place in others' lives. They also use their emotional intelligence to keep a positive outlook on life, which helps to spare them from the pain they would otherwise feel by being so in touch with other people's needs and emotions. Without keeping a positive outlook, Twos would sink into the pain of those they feel compassion for. At their best, Twos provide great service to those in need. Mother Theresa is a good example.

Seeking control over their lives, Fives seek to increase their competency by withdrawing into their minds to gain knowledge. Fives tend to live in the mental world of ideas rather than in the outside world. They are good at creating systems, but their need to be in control makes it difficult for them to work within systems. They tend to work better outside the system than within it. At their best, Fives understand things more deeply than other people and advance science and human knowledge by sharing their insights. Stephen Hawking is an excellent example of a Five at his best. Although wheelchair-bound and almost completely paralyzed, Hawking lives in his mind, exploring the secrets of the universe.

Among the authors of the descriptions given below, Paul Boroff identifies himself as a Five.
