Can anybody tell me what's the reason behind making Fina an oil-based injection? Why not make it water-based and shoot it SQ with insulin darts? After the "magic" solution has done its job, can't we just mix it with bacteriostatic water instead of oil?
As far as I know the purpose of an oil-based injection is that the delivery will be slowed down as the oil is being gradually absorbed from the muscle it has been injected into. But that makes sense for weekly injections, not for a daily poking regimen...
Maybe there is a simple answer and a very sound reason why the current conversion seems to be set in stone as is, and I might feel stupid when I learn all about it, but I had to ask, it was bugging me big time
Thanks.
