TRAPS 2 Days In A Row

I have heard that training traps 2 days in row then giving yourself a few days rest from them can really help make some great gains in traps..

What kind of exercises do you do for traps? I've only really done shrugs (barbell and dumbbell) and vertical rows.
 
Traps are no different from any other muscle. They need recovery time in order to grow.

Yes, if you train muscles two days in a row, you might get the feeling that you're really pushing them hard. And, therefore, you feel like you're getting some kind of benefit from that. Not the case. You're better off hitting them hard for one day, then resting.
