Transmitting AIDS through vials

growin'

New member
Can AIDS be transmitted through a vial? i.e. someone uses a pin twice to draw and shoot. 2 weeks later they give it to a friend. Would there be any risk here? I am not sure, but I thought AIDS could only survive outside the body for a few hours.

Don't get me wrong, I do not have AIDS, this is merely a question brought on by speculation.

Theorhetically ....

Pin goes into a body.

Its contaminated.

Same pin goes ANYWHERE ELSE - that place could be contaminated - vial, person, whatever.

Now, sure, placing that pin into a vial might contaminate the vial. And yes, HIV does not survive outside a host body for long - but who would risk that!??

The solution - always always always - after any pin gets stuck into flesh - throw it away. Period.

there's no way the HIV virus will survive 2 weeks.. It's very delicate and fragile virus and won't last more the 72 hours at best. If you would immediately give the needle to someone else then you could get the virus. But Thats besides the point because there's no way I WOULD EVER share a needle with anyone...

Uhhh...if you can't afford the 1-15 bucks you need for enough syringes email me and I'll freakin' loan it to you.

Thanks fellas. No I am not reusing pins. A good friend of mine (who does not have aids) gave me some PGF2 that he stopped using about 2 weeks ago. I know he used a fresh pin each time. This post was more of a "what if", rather than a "I am worried about" . Thanks for the concern bro's, growin' wants to keep on growin'.
