Why can transexuals legally be prescribed steroids??...this is bullshit. I dont think its fair that a person who wishes to become a man thats a woman or vise-versa could LEGALLY do it but bodybuilders and other people who want to chemically enhance their bodies can't. Im just frustrated about this whole thing. I saw this show on discovery health about transgender and I realized how bullshit this whole thing is.

you just got to know how to work the system. you could get testosterone perscribed too is you tryed hard enough and went to the right docs.

but a perscription for test. from a pharmacy isn't cheap, like $120 for a single 10ml vial if your insurance dosen't cover it .(most trans have to pay full price)

because steroids are one of those drugs that every person on the planet thinks they know about, and has an opinion about.

this makes roids a GREAT political football used by politicians to make it look like therye really doing something to serve teh community, since it evokes lots of emotions in the idiot voting public, is easy to spin into a "protect teh children" issue etc etc, and has a drug user base that is relatively unresisting (ever seen a bunch of roiders doing a pro-roid march? didnt think so.)

ranting wont help. what is needed is public education, to undermine the effectiveness of roids as a political tool. something like a reality TV show showing a bunch of happy smiling roiders all living in teh same house or something would go a really long way imo
