Training with gear

What are some experiences out there? I have trained really heavy in the past and not really tried to go higher volume and reps 12-15. Given my age and choice of gear I wonder if heavy training is just a path to injury. I have been training for 17 years and heavy for a good period of the time. When I say heavy I mean 600 squats for reps, 600 deads for reps and 405 incline for reps. This is no shit, ask Quadsweep he was there.

I just wonder at this time in my training if I would not gain more tissue from quality training instead of all out heavy work?

Im not nearly as strong as you but this question lingers in my head too. I trained all summer with high volume 12-15 reps and i def. felt my strength and size increase, but i became adapted to that program and i switched back to heavy low volume. Like you said with age im only 20 years old so I can take the heavy training, but dont know for how long.

If it's different than what you have been doing then you should get results from it.

My thoughts exactly. I definately think that a change in your routine for a little while will benefit you. I like to switch things up just like the way you are questioning, and I always see results, whether training heavy like that or going for a rep range of 8-12.
