training tips?

i play ice hockey and have it 3 times a week...i want to get faster and was wondering how many rest days a week i should have and how many cardio and weight training days i should do?

make sure you have at least 2 full rest days per week..

some things to try is doing intervals via sprinting for cardio..

id weight train 3-4x probably using higher reps

all of those will help with your endurance and should effect speed.. i would imagine your coach does various drills that influence your speed as well..perhaps talk to him about other things you can do
 
do some research on plyometrics, they are going to make you much more explosive, much needed for short quick burts in hockey.
