Training the front bicep head?

Ogrelleh

New member
I've just started really training my arms and am making good progress, but the rear bicep head (the one on the right when i look down at my right arm) is already starting to dwarf the front head, and I wanna even it out early on before it gets out of hand. Right now I'm just doing normal and reverse curls and normal and reverse tricep extensions.
Thanks.

Well if thats the case (unless I`m reading your bicep directions wrong) you must have one helluva bicep peak if its dwarfing your inner bicep.......

Ok maybe "dwarfing" is a bit of an exaggeration but what I'm saying is that I'm only getting development upward on the outside of the bicep so it looks to me like it's only the rear head. If I look at my right arm while it's flexed it slopes down to the front at about a 45 degree angle.
I'm just starting out and my arms are pretty small, but I wanted to not have to deal with weird symmetry issues later.
So your arm just comes straight up at the peak with both heads?

since you just started working out, then its normal. it'll even out with time.

it's like people who just start to work out their chest keep complaining that their inner chest is shit, so they do massive amounts of flyes and crossovers ... just give it time brotha.

are you talking about your inside or outside head.

or are you talking about the top half of your bicep comparred to the lower part???

I`ll agree with Step off.......
Since your doing basic barbell curls, its not like that exercise itself is causing the bicep to develop unbalanced since barbell curls do not work one specific area of the bicep. As Stepoff said....it will just take a little time for your body to balance out and I concur with that. Bodybuilding is a very slow and arduous process which is why you see very few people walking around with developed muscles...........it ain`t easy and it sure ain`t for the impatient...

just lift heavy, eat and grow, worry about symmetry later. theres no need to hold back progress because you are not growing perfectly balanced. there will be a time when you fight tooth and nail for every pound, when that time comes you'll be glad you rode out the beginner growth wave.

Agreed. It is simply genetics at work my friend. Just focus on the size now and when you get to a higher level then you can worry about what compares to what. ;)
Incorporate barbell and hammer curls along with whatever else your regiment entails.
