training on steroids and off

I know that while on steroids there is much more energy and agression which makes it easier to work out intensely.Which im sure alows you to do much more. But when off it is probably better to cut down for fear of over training.

If this isnt accurate please enlighten me.

I train as hard on as I do off.

Well everyone is different but training while on is most certainly easier and I notice that I have so much more stamina. I can tell when I don't have enough energy left and then its time for the workout to be over.

I never seem to have nearly as much motivation when off cycle and the last few weeks before I start a cycle I get lazy as I know Im about to get very serious. Wish I could stay on all year.

what about reducing sets when you are off cycle??
Bump for more opinions....

What (training) changes do you guys make when your cycle is over?

Same problem here, 2-3 weeks before cycle are somtimes bad becase i just wait that damn cycle. Post cycle is not problem, but pre cycle is... funny

When I am off I do about 12-14 sets per bodypart, when I am on I do about 20-22. The only thing that keeps me motivated is competing against other gym members. I don't compete but we have a lot of guys I know in my gym. When I see the shooting the shit I feel like I can gain more on them. Pretty weird but day in and day out shit gets boring.

i agree with golfer i usually have the same intensity when on and off but i always decrease my volume when off just for growth sake and to avoid overtraining

With me, it usually comes down to motivation. I think it is mostly psychological. And of course not feeling sore.

I've had the same 'motivational' problem when coming off a cycle, I had solved this by keeping a journal of your previous workouts, as you write down/plan for the next one, i do this about an hour before training and looking back into the journal surely gets me riled up like a mo fo.

But, I cut about 1/4 of my training routine when off cycle-- and add an extra 'off' day. works wonders for me.

I'm always motovated, off or on. For me it's something in my life I just cant be off. If I do not workout I get frustrated and do not feel very good. Once and a while I take 1 week off, but this off period sucks..I'm probably more addictive than some, for me working out in the gym is as natural as sleeping each night, ;)

Well I tried working out 5 days per week but then I lost motivation and so on. Now I train 4 days per week and feel motivated all the time.
