Robbie Rivera - Congos - Definitely an after-hours type vibe. Very basic beat though... almost too basic. Love the track though!

I hope they bring this guy over for the WMC, but I doubt it...

Damn...staying home tonite when Space will be blown up by Tenaglia in about 3 hours...only a 7 min cab ride from here....fyck

WORD. Holland has the best underground DJ's. They play a distinctive brand of progressive tech house that rocks.

Check out DJ Montana, Lucien Foort, Fred Numf. They are 3 of the better known Dutch DJ's who are fucking brilliant.

Oh, I'm a converted Lawler fan for sure now.

He opened with a long intro of Underworld's Two Months Off, and played a bit edgier stuff inside.

He came outside to relieve Roland on the patio around 7 I think, and the only track I remember there was the Gus Gus tune.

I should start paying a bit more attention to the music...but sometimes it's just hard to remember :p

i cant even look at that lineup. the yoshitoshi party is going to go down in the books im sure!! unfortunatly my spring break is the week before the WMC, so we will be down there before all the madness beigns. there's a new club opening March 7th in Fort Lauderdale that we are going to check out tho. George Acosta and DJ Nailz (avalon resident) will be spinning that night. im still thinking about that Yoshitoshi party... :rolleyes: keep me updated!

dont know that track ID nik, sorry. just wanted to tell you that i love that Manila song more and more everyday! Lawler spun it on one of his live sets too. totally happy song!

Those lyrics are from a Roland\Lawler live set from Space on Feb 8, 2003. The set is about 2 hours of fantastic progressive music, but it was all Roland!! Lawler came on about 15 minutes before the recording ended, as I remember his opening track from when I was there.

Anway, that Manila song was the first track Howells played when he came on at the Global Underground pool party at the Shoreclub for WMC. I had never seen him live before, and I remember thinking "who is this goofy looking guy he's very hyper" right before he came on. Then he started playing the stuff he plays and I've been a super-fan ever since.

He'll be back at Space on July 3 apparently, but before that it's LAWLER in 2 weeks!!!

that Roland/Lawler set is awesome!! my boyfriend recorded it and burned it on to a CD, its been in heavy rotation ever since.
I CANT WAIT FOR LAWLER!!!! i will def give you a call when we get down there!
 
i got a howells live at arc set from the end of february, let me tell you, i was super unimpressed, maybe it was a bad hour he has at arc, there was one dark techy song i liked, but the other ones sucked ass, and this is coming from an avid tenaglia/tech fan

Nik, u gonna be in the city for may 24ths mauro picotto showing at arc? ill be there, have seen him 2x lately and he has been nothing short of unbelievable
 
Yeah, given that he plays 10 hour sets at Arc, any given hour wouldn't do him much justice. I know which set your talking about, and it's pretty dull, and the recording is not all that good either in terms of quality.

i also didnt realize that he is playing saturday night on memorial day weekend, i night i have to work in the hamptons, but i did just find out DEEP DISH is gonna be at CPIs sunday night, which i might just have to attend ;)

We want your soul! That Adam Freeland tune is pretty catchy :) I always have it in my head. Makes me think of a bunch of demon cheerleaders.

Right now im really addicted to alot of things people have already said. For the most part you all have excellent taste :) There are alot of songs that I don't know the titles for unfortunately. I hear them in Live sets and don't have playlists available. Like this one song PVD plays in a set from Nature1 a few weeks ago. I think I'm going to go playlist hunting now actually.
