Tough Luck

Lesson: When having surgery, act as you are an idiot so you know exactly what they are doing. That way you don't have to have the surgery twice.

:bawling:

Owie..... Sorry to hear this bb. Take heart, you'll be back to slinging 3 or 4 tables in no time.

LOL. I am just going to ask for another cortisone shot in a month. That way it will get me through my busy season. I will wait till late fall if I go through it again. He said the second surgery will take twice as long to heal too. Nothing like starting from scratch with the shoulder and my training.

I see lots of cardio in your future...YOu could become the next Richard Simmons.

I kinda laughed when the Nurses were actually writing on my wifes good knee "WRONG" with a marker before surgery.

I don't laugh now, and will demand they do the same on me week after next..

I was unclear of what exactly he wsa going to do. HE said he shaved bone, I thought he meant the entire end of my clavicle, but that wasn't the case, hence the joint isn't free enough to be a popping and cracking free zone.

Thats no joke, take a sharpie with you to the hospital.....

I have several things wrong in there and he has only mentioned
repairing the tear.

He mentioned that if he see's something else while in there he will fix it on the same bill :D

Only problem I see with your Situ is Scar tissue

One would think that each time you are cut on there would be scar tissue created.

More surguries = more scar tissue... right?

The surgery is arthroscopic, the first time, which should have limited it. I'm not sure if he has to be cut the second time or not.

That is what I thought as well. But I was under the assumption that the end of the clavicle could be removes arthroscopic, but evidently my doctor doesn't think so. He told me he would have to cut me open for that procedure.

Tell him to go in through that canyon-like hole you call an anus. That shouldn't be any more invasive than what you're already used to.

Ever seen the movie Backdraft...those doctors have the same worries that the firemen did.

Yea I almost flipped out when they wrote an L on my left knee and an R on my right. It was my first surgery anyways and that didn't make me feel anymore comfortable. At least until they gave me the good stuff and I was out like a light:p

what happened?

I had shoulder surgergy on my AC for an impingement, about 3 months ago. He told me he shaved the bone and removed the bone spurs, and that should relieve the pain and popping I was having during pressing excercises. Well, I still have the pain and the popping. The pain could still be from it healing, but the popping worries him. He thinks he needs to cut me open this time and remove the end of my clavicle, something he thought might needed to be done, but decided to hold off and see if the first surgery would cover it. I was under the impression he was removing the end of the clavicle to find out today that he didn't. So he wants me to do all excercises I wish too and see how I feel in a month. I know it will result in me still having the pain and popping and require another surgery. This sucks worse then gymtime's wardrobe!!!!

wow that does suck, sorry broly. tell them to give you a bionic shoulder. that would be cool.

Yeah it would. You could then beat (so to speak) your state's masturbation record. Of course, you'd be toppling yourself as defending champion.
