Tough Love hurts

I know exactly what u mean... I never spank my kids ever, but last year my 13yo snuck out the house and I didn't have any choice but to give her the belt and really woop her ass... Brought tears to my eyes.. Love her more than anything in the world an the thought of some sicko trying to get her in a van.... So ya, had to be done
Absolutely not true.
Loving someone means you are vulnerable to being hurt...and eventually if you love someone enough, it will hurt. We're human, we fuck up. But that doesn't mean every time you love you will get "fucked over." And without the downs, the ups wouldn't be as special.
I've experienced some pretty low lows. But I've had some incredible highs. The risk is worth the reward.

Ya it's scary out there bro, she starts hischool in less than a week... She's very pretty girl with colored eyes an petite... Good news is she's interested in wrestling and weight training and I'm
kinda excited about that... Ima gamble with the other parents lol and the fighting skills and strength will make me feel jus a lil better knowing she's not totally helpless

Mine's 17 months old, so I'm hoping years of severe beatings will make her tougher than nails.

I hear ya AAP. I'm going through a situation with my brother these past few months (4 months, actually)...and it's probably taking years off of my life.

Use a bag of oranges. It leaves virtually no marks.
An old-timer told me - if you have a boy, lock the two of you in a room when he turns 13 and beat the shit out of him...just to prove to him you still can. Then you'll be good for another 3 years.
Repeat at 16 and 19... LOL!!!

Not really considering how kids nowdays do nothing but sit in front of their video games and head rot themselves.
If the kid shows enough dedication to hit the gym consistently or take MMA classes with an understanding of their inner principles and not just outer technique, chances are you won't have to resort to tough love to straighten his immature ass out.
My boy turned 13 last month. Just caught me at 5'11" right before his birthday. I've still got him by 30 lbs but in another 6 years I might have a problem. Especially since I'll be 50.
