Im undergoing ultrasound treatment at the moment for torn ligaments in my wrist and ankle. After a fall.

This really sucks, its been 6 weeks since it happened and i got a way to go yet!

They stated maybe 8 - 10 weeks!

anyone else ever had this?
if so how did those areas react after they healed up?

tendon/ligament damage is very slow to heal, under normal circumstances the materials in the injured tissue take 300-500 days to replace itself. When injured that rate speeds up significantly but still takes time. Taking anti-inflamatories will only slow the process. I have had prolotherapy done on occassion for a handfull of different injuries from foot, to back to elbows and shoulders.

a few years back, i suffered a mild sprain of my right ankle. turned purple and couldnt walk for like a week.

anyhow, thought it would fully hear in a month or two. even a year later, i could still feel the injury. 2 years after, and i was back to normal. well.... 95%. i dont think you ever come back to 100%with ligaments/tendon injuries.

You can but often times people circumvent the healing process with anti-inflamatories. Its still a long road even if you dont. Prolotherapy has been clinically proven and in use for well over 50 years it can not only healp in the repaire of tendons/ligaments but can actually make them stronger/larger than prior to treatment, so full recovery is more than possible.

Thanks bros!
It suck being injuried, but at least i didn't have to have surgery!

Fellas, I had surgery over 3 weeks ago. TO me, a wicked injury. I ripped the tricep tendon right off the bone (elbow). The doctor re-attached it using 4 screws - he calls them anchors. Anyway, my recovery is going well - I am back up to 405 x 6 on the bench.
JUST KIDDING!!! My arm is in a brace which limits the range of motion. I was very depressed for a few days, but now I am okay.
I have been hitting legs alot. Started back lifting 2 days after surgery. Doing calves-quads-hams-abs-lowback - and of course one arm stuff for bi's and tri's. I will persevere!!!
