Everything I stated above was directly from my family physican. She recently graduated from one of the best med schools in the country, so I trust her advice completely.

But, just as you said. Too simplistic. I'm looking for more things to add to the list. If you don't have anything to add to the list...DONT BOTHER REPLYING!

Yes..trust your doctor..and don't listen to contrary opinions..what good is your list to anyone if its erroneous? Your doctor obviously realized you had a simple grasp of ideas so just gave you something she thought you could understand.

I reply because spreading ignorance without dissent is not good for the readers and you do NOT own this topic nor this forum.

No...she gave me something that she thought would improve my Bp. Not something to "understand".

OH ya...and you don't agree with #5 on my list?? Accoring to the American Heart Association, Stress is actually The number ONE cause of high BP. I guess I was worng about one thing!

I spread ignorance you say?? Then maybe you'd care to explain why The American Institute of Medicine states that 20% of all high blood pressure is caused by excess sodium intake. In FACT, earlier this year they made a recommendation to the FDA, that the average person shuold drop there sodium intake to 15oo milligrams in order to avoid High blood pressure and Kindey stones.

You are right about one thing. I don't own this board or this topic. Thanks for clearing that up.

The more research I do...the more I realize that your right.

One of our counselors here where I work says that her husband is an M.D. and on the blood pressure subject,he says most of his younger patients,25to40 yrs come in and complain of High BP,the #1 diagnosis is anxiety,or bloat that comes with gas associated with anxiety, the pressure of built up gas will cause a high reading of BP due to pressure,it can also cause heart attack like symptoms.
