Took HIV/STD test yestersay

Now im even more stressed than ever.The first thing she asked me was do I experience night/cold sweats.I said yes I get them all the time.The Dr. told me that is a sign of HIV.

What I dont understand is why the hell she gave me the
test when I just read it takes 6-12 weeks to show up in the blood.It was last Thursday night when I may have contracted it.

If anyone knows anything please let me know,im really
stressed.

I swear if I come up positive im gonna somehow find that bitch & beat her so bad that no one will ever hook up with her again.

scott, dude... the virus can take 6 MONTHS to show up, so even if you test negative, you gotta keep retesting every 3 - 6 months... but as far as the night sweats go, i dont believe that could have anything to do with the virus if your risk was last week.... good luck man...

by the way, where did you go to get tested? how much was it?

ever think of using the ones they sell at the drug store and sending it out for the results?

I've been there, and yes its a bitch. It was also a huge relief when everything came out fine...which it probably will with you too.

Hell, night sweats could be due to lots of things....

This is what I've always called the "Christ, get me out of this and I'll never do it again Life Experience"

Take it from the gay guys, your chances of having it are pretty damn slim. (You should STILL be careful, though.)
They say that people who have the smallest risk of catching HIV are usually the most over-cautious about it, and those at the highest risk are the least cautious.
Also, many people have something at the beginning of HIV infection similar to a really, REALLY nasty case of the flu. Wouldn't worry too much about night sweats.
