Too Old?

Can sombody give me some advice on this topic? I have been told by a couple people now, that after the age of 30 you really can't build Any new muscle. Pretty much just maintain what you have. I have been working out on and off know for quite a few years. I have done a few cycles here and there when it was available. But recently I have really set my mind on training hard and cosistent. I just started a new cycle and was pretty pumped about going forward until I started to hear comments like this. I will turn 32 this year and I am hoping this is not true. Can anyone PLZ advise!!!
Thx...Bro's...........................

That's bs man eat enough and train hard you will gain add the roids and you will gain even more.

I'm 35 and put on 25lbs in the last 2 years. You can still build muscle and alot of it if you do it right. One thing is SOME peoples metabolism slows and their natural test goes down w' age. When bulking you might need to be a little stricter w' carbs and cals. I have to eat all day everyday to keep weight. One day it will change. You said you are ready to get serious so CONSISTENCY is the key. Juice and training for a cycle is not all it takes. Train hard and CONSISTENT on or off and keep those cals and protein in there and youll have no limits but your will. I tell you i go to the gym six days a week and train each bodypart twice a week. The hour and a half are the easy part working out. Its the Damned eating and eating thats hard for me. I eat every 2 or three hours and it gets old. Hell you can be huge and cut in a year or two and make those 20 year old look like popeyes olive oil! Good luck man it is so worth the efforts when people make comments and the like.

Oh one more thing. The next time someone tells you your two old to grow tell em to look up Don Youngblood. Hes a pro who didnt START till his 30s. He doesnt win em all but hes as big as a damned 18 wheeler! Hes in alot of mags and stuff. Look his story up. theres plenty of positive out there. Dont listen to BS. Negativity will kill your drive.

i think the best age for putting on muscle is between 25-40.
most people i know claim to be their strongest in their 30s- i'm not sure how old the top powerlifters are, but i think mike miller (1200 lb squat) is around... 33 if i'm not mistaken.

Thx Bro's!!! That makes me feel alot better..I really appreciate taking the time to respond. I know what you mean about the eating though!! It is damn hard to do every few hours...tommy39 you said you train each bodypart twice a week? How long between each muscle group do you wait before training that muscle again?.....Once again bro's trhanks alot....I can't wait to prove these idiots wrong!!! ;)

Shit, your muscle doesn't "mature" until you're 30. It's pure bullshit. You're test levels might drop, but if you take an 8 week cycle twice in one year...pshhh. You'll be jacked considering your training and diet. Prove the know-it-all's wrong.

I train chest and shoulders on Mon. Back and arms on Tues. and legs on Wed. then repeat thru Sat. Sun i take off. It works for me. Iused to go three on one off. But i had to workout on too many Sat. and Sundays. I tried taking more time off but it just doesnt work for me. Every few months i may take the end of week off. Just one workout per part that week. I do traps and abs on days at random when i feel good. As long as i eat alot all the time i feel good and recover fast. I hope to be at 250 to 260lbs by end of the year.

LOL, look at ronnie coleman, he is like 40 isnt he? I know he has put on at least 50 pounds of muscle in the last 10 years. People will tell you anything bro. PEACE

I'm 53 at 275 right now all muscle , -you're not too old.
Studies have shown muscle mass in subject old as 70 when put on a weight training program.
It will not be like subject in their 30s & 40s but some mass nontheless.
