Sorry, but that shit doesn't work. All that it accomplishes is filling up people's email boxes when they pass "the word" around.

With a commodity like gasoline the market price is driven by overall supply and demand. Boycotting one company over another isn't going to change the market price of gasoline. The only way to truly affect the price is to buy less gas period. Not less gas from one or two particular companies but to actually buy less gas overall. The laws of supply and demand render this boycott tactic totally ineffective bullshit. This is basic economics 101.

actually, the way you would solve this problem is pretty simple, if enough ppl knew what to do. Pick one of the largest oil companys, for example Exxon, and everyone buy gas from anyone besides that specific company. that would drive the company being boycotted to lower prices, therefore making the other companies lower with them. sounds easy right. key is getting 200mil of ppl to do it, but most likely too many rich bitches who could care less and just swipe their card anyways..... thought it was a good tactic tho

God knows I get enough junk mail as it is. Not buying gas from XXX will cause prices to drop is as true as "If you FWD this e-mail, Bill Gates will pay you XXX amount and for everyone they send that e-mail to you will get paid XXX amount and so on."
