Tom Cruise=The Termintator?

OK i know that sounds fucking ridiculous, but seriously, did anyone see Collateral? Vincent is a Terminator, a hitman, shows no remorse, will do anything to get the job done (even taking a bullet in the face), runs real real fast, and just looked menacing as fuck. With all this talk of another Terminator movie (which i hope to holy hell they DO NOT do) the closest thing i can think of to an actual Terminator is Vincent. Looks like someone you would see everyday, dressed well, athletic, etc.
Anyone else's thoughts? Or what about Tom Jane (provided he stays in the same shape he was for The Punisher) as the next Terminator? Anyone else care about this shit?
