They must be expecting to sell a hell of a lot of LOTR dvds, because they are already taking pre-orders at places like Best Buy.


I personally can't wait to get the dvd. Anyone know what kind of extras there will be, if any?

I think 2 hours of special footage, I also heard they are going to make a rpg game for the gameboy, I hope it's true.

There are 3 video games that I know of so far. I believe 1 is coming out for the x-box, 1 for the ps2 and one for the pc. Don't quote me on that, but I am pretty sure.

There are only two LOTR titles coming out that I know of. 1 of them is for the GBA and the other if for the Xbpx/pc.


I have an awesome copy of fellowship in vcd format. The quality is as good or better than VHS. The only bummer is the fact that it's spread out over 4 cdr's. I have to get up every 45 minutes to pop in the next vcd in my dvd player. No biggy though.

Can't wait for the extra footage and stuff on the DVD.

Always been a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkein....also for great reading along the same lines...Look for Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series(wizards first rule starts the series)....perhaps try Terry Brooks Shanarra Series....David Eddings is good, David Gemmel is OK as well....Nice reading all the way around....

You may not want to order/pre-order that one. I read that a month or so after the first release, they will release another DVD with even more bonus material...a special edition. So I'd wait until it comes out to see if another one is around the corner.
