So this morning on the today show (nothing else on while I am eating breakfast, sorry) they had this lame story where idiot matt lauer was reporting on this family with 4 semi-mentally retarded kids in turkey or some shit that walk around on their hands and feet... (showed video)

They talked to this turkish "scientist" that said they suspected that "evolution took a step backward" in them and that they were "actively assessing them genetically to see if it might shed some clues on how we evolved etc..."

Then they had some dipshit on (didn't say what department he worked for, but might as well have been in literature or something) apparently who said some shit about it too agreeing that it was interesting... and something about "maybe they have an ancient gene" or some crap...

What the fuck is wrong with these people... evolution took hundreds of thousands of years... Hundreds and thousands of cumulative changes in genes occured.. There are long term changes in joint angles and bone lengths that happened... there is no way this is an "evolutionary" event...

At the most they might have a degenerating or debilitation back/bone condition... and the cerebellum disfunction (quoted in one of these bullshit articles) might also be a possibility...

Funny that the only site this info is coming from is this bullshit "science" site they must have been using as their source...
