To carb or not to carb

Let me start off by saying its very difficult for me to add LBM naturally and my diet is pretty in check. Ive been at a plateau for a few years now at basically the same size, so I decided to do my first simple cycle of Test C 500/week.I pretty much kept the same diet that didnt allow me to gain any muscle, and just by addidng the test alone I blew up and gained 40 lbs. A whole lot of mass, but also a nice amount of unwanted fat as well. Could this mean I have naturally low test? Im only 25 btw.

Anyway my other question was since my body doesnt seem to tolerate carbs well seeing how much fat I packed on, could a low carb bulk be something good for someone like me. Im considering a lower carb bulk for my future second cycle.I want to figure out what diet best suits my body, its been a fucking battle for years trying to figure this out.
 
Your not going to know if you are low test without a blood test. There are quite a few symptoms including constantly being tired and a tendency to hold fat.

If you are carb sensitive make sure you are getting your carbs in around your workout time when your body can best utilize them. Also try eating no carbs for breakfast, just protein and fat. Meat and nuts work great for this. The first meal of your day sets the metabolic tone for your body for the day. Not having carbs and thus inducing an insulin spike can have a dramatic effect.
 
Its a battle for years for everyone bro, but I know where you're coming from, my first cycle I gained something riiculous like 40lbs as well, I took the whole 'eat big lift big' advice a bit too far and ended up badly out of shape, I've never done that again, its a learning process you can't expect your first cycle to go perfect! Now you know to dial it back a bit calorie wise, starting to train with AAS is like starting naturally all over again, you have to learn how your body responds, what it likes and doesnt like and ultimately over the years you'll figure out how to make the gains you want while staying in good condition....
 
Did most of the fat come on cycle or during pct/after pct? Did you run an a.i. on cycle? What did you use for pct? I ask for a few reasons... If you're still having trouble dropping fat, you could still be suppressed from running a bad pct and not properly recovering. If you didn't use an ai on cycle, you could have gained a lot of fat from elevated estrogen levels on cycle or estrogen rebound in pct
 
no it doesn't mean anything and you didn't gain 40 pounds on a test cycle.

unless you weighed like 115 to start and starved yourself before starting it and never worked out

what are your stats?

anyone who gains 40 pounds on a cycle is so below their genetic potential its laughable

I train right after breakfast so my pre workout meal would also be my breakfast so then I would be consuming carbs

Fat was all on cycle. During cycle I ran Aromasin 12.5 a day, I was still super bloated so maybe next time I might need more? My body loves to hold a lot of water even naturally I can lose/gain 8 lbs of water from one day to the next.PCT was Forma/lower dose clomid. Im not trying to drop fat at the moment I want to add more LBM first so it will be easier to drop it in the future. I just rather change my diet up a bit so I wont much more fat in the process.
 
I started at 175 ended at 215. 2 months after pct im at 205-208. Thats why im asking about low test, I barely changed my diet, from where I was stuck and couldnt gain at all for nearly two years. All I did was add the Test and it changed everything dramatically.
 
Everyone responds to things differently, so you really just need to know your body and how your body responds to different caloric levels and carb loads. You should be tracking everything if you aren't already and make small adjustments over time to see what works best for you. Only you know what carbohydrate level will produce the best results without adding fat. Carb sensitivity varies so much from person to person, that there is no cookie cutter answer. I know people that get fat on less than 200g per day, and people that are running 400+ while prepping for a contest. Your training and cardio change things as well, as it impacts how much carbs and glycogen you need for energy versus how much you will store as fat.

how tall are you? i am guessing you are over 6 feet. so to put it simply 6 feet and 175 you were so below your genetic potential that you even look at a weight or pick up juice and you are gonna gain weight.

your problem and this is what you are gonna learn very quickly is you are gonna open yourself up to a tremendous amount of lipid strain during that + tendon/ligament issues. this is why its important to trian your ass off for atleast 5 years before touching gear.
 
Somthing had to be wrong with ur diet bro... I am on my first cycle of test and have gained 7-8 pounds total and am on week 8... It was not the test that put on all that weight... For me, I thought test was gonna be some magical thing that slapped muscle on and I thought that if I ate to many carbs I would get "bloated" so I kept carbs low on the first end of the cycle.... I did not gain one pound for about 6 weeks, however, dropped at least 4%bf and added small amount of size... I realized at this point I wanted to grow more so I started carb cycling as opposed to low carb and withing 2 weeks I'm up 7 pounds with minimal fat bc of the carbs I eat! I have high, high, medium, low, that's i ton of carbs ... I only eat rice, sweet potato, oatmeal, and wheat pasta.... I have that with 8oz lean meat and cup of spinach or some other green... At the end of the day diet willl be the doctator of everything, yes I kno everyone is different but I would think you mad that gain due to a lack of diet and way under genetic potential...
