Anybody suffer from this? If so what are some of the remedy's that you have tried and have they worked for you?

surgery.
broken jaw, wired shut, eating through a straw.

sounds great to me.

also, not clenching would help. but if you truly have it, then saying not to clench is like saying not to take dumps.

Are you talking about your jaw???

I had that when I was SCUBA diving for long hours at work. I had to lay off the dive time. :(

temperomandibular joint syndrome.

its just basically an arthritic condition of the joint.

like Scrappy Crappy said, dont clench your jaw or over use the joint (excessive gum chewing etc.)

go get x rays..not to sound biased here, but i know a chiropractor at school who specializes in extemeties and joints and actually adjusts the joint back into proper position for your jaw.

you could look into that..but its hard finding chiro's who specialize in that area.

Yep, a friend had it done. She was in some kinda pain.:(

But it did work.

Yeah it runs in my family from inbreeding. They can fit you with a mouthpiece to wear at night that will help with it. I don't suffer that bad from, occasionally I feel the urge to pop the hell out my jaw. I think it is caused by the joint being overstretched. The best remedy in my opinion for something like this is to work out and stay in shape. It lessens the severity and pain of many ailments.

Yea I was hoping that fitness could help relieve the tension and stress due to the disposition, I have a client who suffers from it which was diagnosed through grinding and high levels of stress. I also heard that massage therapy can be effective in relieving some of the tension that can be caused by tmj.
