and i think their was a battle ship named Tirpitz that was sunk in the kiel canal during ww2.
it was moored and was the sis ship of the bismark
so maybe that flier is commeorating the sinking of the tirpitz?

Supposedly in the remake Peter Jackson is filming right now, that will be edited to "Trigger" or something to that effect. way to re-write history in the interest of political correctness.

powerful yet faster than the british heavyweights
so if they get into an outnumbered situation they just split the scene
any brit cruisers and destroyers that give chase would be eliminated

what happened to the bismarck was a squadron of british airplanes(like fuckin' bi-planes at that) scored a very lucky and unlikely hit on the bismarck's rudder
fucking up it's ability to steer and I think slow it too
so the british were able to corner her like 5-1 and that was that

the german cruiser prinz eugen that was with the bismarck escaped
she was fast and just cut out

the prinz eugen survived the war and was one of the ships sunk at bikini atoll for the a bomb test

back to the original topic
when the bismarck bought the farm the germans became conservative with the tirpitz and kept her hidden in norway
other shit started going down in the war and i guess the germans just never got around to setting her to sail on a suicide mission

like the japs did with the yamato
