I've used them for tires before. I don't even recall what it was that I got - but they were expensive and they nearly killed me in the snow a few times.

They are a good site - there is another site that is pretty much exactly the same and also good, but I'm totally blanking on their name - tirerack is easy to remember.

is it a good deal to order tires off the internet? i can't imagine it's cheaper to ship four big ass tires to your home rather than buying them locally and paying the tax on them. what if you live in an apartment complex? i'm trying to picture the ups man dropping off four enormous boxes containing tires at my leasing office. the leasing agents would probably shit their pants and evict me.

I was in Boston, so I didn't have much of a choice.
The tires I got were "all weather performance" which really means "only 70-80 degree days when there is no rain"

I had 3 near wreck incidents simply due to the tires in slush/ice/snow.

I was warned that they "weren't that great in the snow" but I would go as far as to say that one should "never use them".

I would go look up what they were, but my connection is too painfully slow.

ssme - they aren't in boxes - they just come as tires. They tape two of them together with strong ass tape and then the shipping info is on that.
It isn't really like the shipping could hurt them.

I saved a ton and they have better selection as well - but maybe in TX things are easier like with big walk in stores and good inventory. Where I was in Boston, it wasn't that way.

They also sell a lot of the shit you would want to rice up your car too.

Well i hope you don't mean wheels. I almost always hate stock wheels on cars. I also hate chrome wheels. I just ordered some steel grey wheels that will immensly improve the look of my car.

Depending on the car, then yes, stock wheels can suck.

As for riced out, that is all in the eye of the beholder. I think many car mods look retarded, but they don't approach full on rice.

My own person definition would be any midification to look faster, but nothing is done to actually make the car faster.

I'm not driving anything. Or rather I'm renting a scooter that is a total peice of shit - it eats gas, the brakes stick, and it seems to have a govenor on it.

I own a Vespa, but I'm not licensed to drive it yet, mainly because I don't really care. I would just drive it anyway, but if I get in a wreck, I will get fucked over legally.

We also have a shitty Suzuki Vitara - which is actually pretty nice here. You aren't allowed anything over a certain size here and all cars no matter what you get cost at least twice as much because of the duty on them.

i have a question. i have a 96 grand cherokee limited and i would like to get some mud tires or at least have that agressive tread. i wont be doing any mudding, maybe once to show off but thats about it. I would need sometires that would withstand lots of highway miles since i drive on the weekends back home from USC.
My question is how do i go about finding what size tire i could get? i dont understand the 255/blah blah stuff. and how would i find out those number on my jeep? and how can i use that to figure how big i can get them.

i agree....i like everything stock.....well wheels and tires are easy to switch back to stock....takes 10 minutes

but these motherfuckers who do the whole intake and exhaust BS, pisses me off....i was looking at a cobra mustang and it was the rght color, right year, adult driven and it had exhuast and other bullshit .....KEEP IT STOCK......MODefactions fucks up your resale value
