I've never been to Times Square for New Years which is sad considering its 20 minutes from me....

I would definitely go to Times Square if I was 20 minutes away. don't forget the bottle of whisky, and lots of film, or memory for the camera...

I'd be more worried about drunk morons throwing up on you than Bin Ladden. Times square is a perfect place for party amateurs, I wouldn't go for that reason alone.

Ive never been there for New Years either and its only 15 minutes away by car.

I always manage to find a place to get drunk.
