Do they have these in other states....?

They have the best muffins! Friday's are a bad day here at work! Oatmeal Cinnamon!

Never heard of these...but Horton can keep his evil fucking muffins and shove them up his ass so far that his duodenum gets crusty!

YA HEARD ME!!!

Tim Horton is dead and was a great hockey player in his time. No they do not have franchises in the States yet do serve the best coffee, muffins and tidbits!!

Bob Evans is even more evil I tell ya!!! Damn you Bob and your scrumdilicous chicken pot pies!!!

Well well well, let me tell you guys about Tim's

Here in Canada the chain is dominant in almost every province. It's not uncommon to have a tim Hortons on ether side of the street, directly across from eachother. People can get very unhappy if they don't have their morning Tim Hortons.

A day rarely goes by when I don't go myself.

They do infact make the best coffee I have ever had.

Know what I like?... Wildfire Chicken Salad...Dear God...they fry( OH MY) chicken tenders then dip 'em in this spicey sauce ..IT'S TO DIE FOR! Let's not forget those dinner rolls...soooo fluffy and sweeeeet.

I'm drooling...

Only franchises i know exist in Canada.

Actually they are here in Southeastern Michigan....they are all over. Almost as many as McDonalds.

Yeah, I heard Tim H. started the chain because he couldn't make ends meet just playing professional hockey in the day. Didn't he get killed in a car accident coming home from a game in Vancouver?

WOW! They have some in SE Michigan?

Ya he set up a small doughnut shop to make extra cash and what he would do is have his teammates come in and sign autographs for people who would buy a doughnut. He would then pay his teammates off with doughnuts!

Yeah, I'm a Tim's regular, too.

There are Tims in some border towns and states, but not too many yet.

They have a co-marketing deal with Dave (now dead) Thomas of the Wendy's chain. In the states, you'll probably see Tim's springing up with Wendy's franchises.

If I had one of their coffee's now, I'd be more amusing than factual.

Dammit.

ppm of caffeine is gettin way looooow......

I've actually met the guy that owns Tim Horton's. Rich man.

Sleazy, but rich. I suspect that in order to be rich at that level, a lot of sleaze goes down.

I played gofl a lot on his resort over the July 4th weekend this year. his resort is basically like his playland to show off to his friends (www.foxharbr.com) - has a landing strip for big planes and everything.

he has a huge beer belly, and I'm pretty sure he is an alcoholic, as was Horton I think. he always had a drink in his hand as he went around the resort. but he was nice and as most business men do, he had an excellent ability to remember everyone's names and stuff about them.

He and the hockey player Tim Horton started it, then Tim Horton died. As he was dying, this guy talked Horton's wife out of the controlling shares. He then went on to own it all by himself.
Then he did a stock swap of Horton's for Wendy's - then the dude from Wendy's died, and now this guy is the main shareholder of Wendy's.

They are starting franchises in the states - it used to be only in Canada. Mostly it is in the north of the states, but every year they are opening more (I *think* he said 25 a year, but I could be low on that).

HS where ya from in the US?

If this guy is the controlling partner of both Wendy's and Tim's this guy is a billionaire. Didn't Horton's family take this guy to court recently?

i love tim horton's french vanilla cappuccino. i wishy it wasn't so loaded with calories, sugar, and fat. then maybe i would be able to have one more often than once every 3 months :)

I'm in Boston.

I'm not sure if it is USD or CAN, but yeah, he is worth $950 million last I heard.

I think the way it worked was that he traded all of Horton's for Wendy's. Then recently (within the past 2 years) sold 2/3 of his Wendy's stock (close to $300 million - which from what I heard sounded like a loss on what he originally traded his Horton's for - but the talk was between states and canadian people, so the exchange rate was not really discussed, so I don't know which was which). Now he is in real estate and I don't know what he is into there, he doesn't talk about that... or at least didn't with me or the staff that I spoke with.

I know that his resort is at a loss, but he doesn't care b/c he is mostly just showing off and having fun with it. really beautiful place.

he also has a children's foundation that he is big into, and they have camps in canada.

His name is Joyce... I think Ron Joyce. Last I heard he was in the top 50 wealthiest canadians and maybe in the top 10.

I can navigate the entire transcanada from halifax right up to calgary by using Tim's restaurants as landmarks.

pretty sad really

tim horton's french vanilla cappuccino has been responsible for getting me through 4 years of university.

on a side note, it's kind of coincidental that there are posts for both tim horton's and wendy's......
