Tijuana

I know they do in Juarez but I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't use my CC in Mexico unless it was for something legit.
What if they over charge your CC?
Are you gonna call your bank and say "$2,000, but I only bought $500 of EQ?

I have used my cedit card several times in Mex (TJ, Rosarito, Ensenada) on everything from food hotel and AS. Never had any problems. Hey Creep they cannot call your bank and do that. Onceyou signed the little receipt with total that cannot change.

I'm not saying they would call the bank and change the amount. Once they have your CC information they could always charge you again. Types of CC fraud like this happen everyday it happened to me. A bartender decided to add a nice tip and forge my signature. Because my purchase was at a Bar I was able to call the bank, submit receipts and prove the amount. . I'm not saying it will happen to you but I wouldn't risk on anything illegal.

If you are going to make a large purchase you might want to call your credit card company and let them know b/c some credit card compaines will become alerted by wierd charges in a foreign country, especially one like Mexico. But to answer your question all vets and pharmacy's I have been to accept credit cards.

Ive used a CC in Cozumel and Playa el armen and simply ask the
merchant to list the purchases as general merchandise or anything else inconspicuous

most graneros in tj arent set up for credit card transactions. most pharmacies and graneros in Tj are family own and runned with hardly any knowledge of pharmecuticals.

I go to TJ all the time. I've never seen a single shop set up to take credit cards.

Also, LOUD AND CLEAR - if this is a novice run for you - I highly advise newbies against going on TJ shopping trips. All the rules of recent years have changed and it is NOT a game for the inexperienced.
