Actually he had a similar surgery a few years back and came back to win in Torey Pines a few weeks after the surgery. So it was the same situation. But last time he wasn't feeling/showing the pain like he has this time.
It took him almost 3 rounds of golf before he started showing pain.
Ok. so you think he's a pussy... why? because he doesn't get hit by 300lb linemen everyday? because hes not in a situation where hes used to being injured. Sure all those guys you talk about are BAD ASS and I agree. But they are also used to playing injured and they have a whole team that they need to support. Tiger only needs to worry about himself not a whole team. If he feels pain he has every right to show it.
Tiger has played injured and has not shown his pain. then there was yesterday when he started showing his pain around the 15th tee. If he celebrates after an amazing shot and jumps around. GOOD FOR HIM. You ever heard of an athelete feeling no pain after a great play or a win? Maybe the adrenaline from his great shot made the pain fade away. but if you watch on the 17th after he made that amazingly lucky birdie he was helped up the slope on the side of the green. Then his Eagle putt on 18... He didn't even move he barely fist pumped. AND you could see the pain in his face.
Traz.... You want to talk about sweating? You ever see Tiger play in his Sunday reds and hes Sweating soooo bad that the shirt is stuck to his skin? I know I have. Have you ever walked 18 holes and tried to concentrate enough to hit the ball anywhere near where its supposed to go? Its not easy.
I understand what so many of you are saying.... about it not being a sport.... I used to think the same untill I started playing.
Tiger is the man... that is undisputed. If you think hes a pansy fine. You must be one tough mother fucker though. Cuz I know I wouldn't even be playing on sunday if I was feeling the pain he did on saturday. Not only that but being able to walk up to the ball and not know if hes gonna hurt after he swings the club or not and to still go ahead and swing and make an amazing shot while in pain.
just sayin...
