Thomas Dick

was the only name listed in my area as a generalist DMD under my new dental plan. Aside from it being odd to me that there was only 1 dentist on this plan in a 20 mile radius of me I also chuckled a bit at his name Thomas Dick...dirk for hire (you other old farts should know what a dick for hire is too)

So in the best interest of my teeth I call to make an appointment with Dr. Dick.

I rang and I didn't recognized the name that the receptionist used so I asked, "is this Dr. Dick's office?" After a rather uncomfortable long pause she said, "no Thomas Dick has be deceased for 5 years", I didn't quite know what to say other than "I'm sorry to hear that".

So my only dentist, not the dick for hire, happens to be deceased.

You gotta love clerical errors and clerical black holes.

I was told prior to being deceased, he partnered up with another Dentist named Harold Weiss.

You could try their new office called "Tom Dick and Harry".

HA!

or Eastern Dental. I like them.

I got one to top that. When we lived in a Houston suburb, one of our neighbors was named Harry Dick. It was the joke of the town. I don't know why the guy didn't change his name.
