Many people, as of late, have been complaining about how the boards, in general have been lackluster. I will always defend the Elite Fitness as being the number one source of information for health, fitness, and AS as well as having a fantastic online community. We all owe George Spellwin a debt of gratitude for bringing our lives together, regardless of how far apart we all are. Our minds and personalities have been melded to create this great family that I feel is a privelage to be a part of.

With this said, I CAN see why people are complaining. There seems to be a sudden dramatic increase of people being banned and threads being locked. I've been complaining about this for sometime and it only seems to go unheeded.

In regards to the arguement that the board belongs to Mr. Spellwin and his admin's have the final say on who goes, I say that is fine, but keep in mind that WE the people make this board so great. WE supply 99% of the information here. Finally it's WE who post OUR pictures up on the members board that brings in YOUR paycheck for PLATINUM, George.

People are taking people's posts and comments way too seriously and I don't feel someone should be banned unless the are EXTREMELY disruptive. Although you upkeep this board, sir, you wouldn't have it, unless we made it so successful. We have a right to be a part of the banishment process. The censorship is becoming an epidemic that could cripple this site and drive some of our best members to other places such as Triedia. I pose this one very intersting question. If these people that were banned recently are so bad, why is it that they can coexist on Triedia and that board increase it's members so quickly?

Mods, it's time you guys look at yourselves and begin to think. What this board needs isn't a "sex robot"...What we need is a person to say, "hey, let's stop this nonsense." That is all and than you.

This is a prime example why this board is going down the shitter.

Why can't we discuss why someone got banned. What do you people have to hide?!!

I don't see where in the TOS that says we can't discuss this.
 
It goes back to all the new mods. It seems it was based upon who posted the most and not who was the most responsible and levelheaded. You don't want troublemakers, idealogues, and children moderating this place.

The answer to Buksoon's banning is on the actual thread. The thread is still there - case closed.


If you have a question about something or someone it can be answered via PM, yet you have choosen a more PUBLIC route. This thread could very well be noted as cry for attention by your own standards.

Buksoon was banned for harrasing several members.......incase anybody missed that. She, by every definition deserved to be banned.

I'm not sure who harrsed her. I don't know the full story, I admit that. If somebody was doing the same to her it would be justified for them to be banned as well. I don't think rules have much kick if there are double standards. Enlighten me......

long story short, a mass PM was sent out by b4foldthetruth saying that buksoon threatend b4fold. It was not true. Trust me I know. I know me saying "trust me" doesn't hold much weight, but that's all I can say. Anyway, after that PM was sent, a rain of negativity can down on buksoon. She publically asked b4fold to rectify the situation, and for reasons that only a few of us know, he didn't. So she started defending herself. Maybe she went too far, that's open for debate. But she was pushed to that.
 
Sorry, but the Buksoon banning is absurd. It's the powers in charge that don't know the full story. It's obscene that people are banned without being informed or given a chance to make a case.

Nature Boy has the story right. Anyway, I miss Bukky. :bawling:

You two are the simply not moderator material. I have never seen such ingnorance in all my life. I am not complaining, dullards. I am simply expressing my right to express my opinion. If I wanted to get attention, I'd post nude pics. Obviously, I'm stating all this stuff because it bothers me. Instead of taking a moment to reconsider your method of thinking, you come down on me in a most condescending manner.

I personally think you both are good, intelligent people, however you have no business moderating this board. Why should I have to PM to get knowledge? What have you to hide? Besides, if the answer was on the thread, I would have found it. It was stated but not by a moderator. Besides, if it was a harmless thread, WHICH IT WAS, why was it locked? Since when do you get the right to have the final say?

Musclebrains, I completely agree with you. I do wish YOU were in Ryan's place. Velvette, maybe you're purpose would best be served on the Women's board exclusively. That seems to be your area of expertise since you lack any common sense to govern this board.

My experience here over the last 2 year's has shown me that when a thread is deleted, locked or cencored in anyway it's author clearly knew the content of their thread was going to bring this response.
The people who've been banned almost had it coming for ALONG time before their banning.

May being one, I really liked May. I think he's funny and witty and over all he's an intelligent guy. However he engaged in a campaign of harrassment against RynaH which was uncalled for.
RyanH posts alot of posts here which clear generate alot of, sometimes, intelligent discussion. Much of it is American topical information which as being an Irishman I don't read.
But even these threads May tried very hard to take to the gutter everytime, why ?.
May could have contributed alot to the general view of the gay community by some member's here who are too immature to accept them as part of our own over all communities.
So I think May knew what he was doing when he was banned. May was and is a drama queen (pardon the pun) and thats one reaon why I like the guy. But when someone holds their hand out to be slapped he'd better not come crying this way.
Winny Fan I did'nt know too much about, and the other's, well I don't read everyones threads here and alot of people I read one thread and decide to ignore their future contributions to the board.
So I think alot of people should take alittle time to consider what their going to post, and if it's likely to be cencored, consider being a little more diplomatic with their writings !.
As regards Triedia.com, well I bet there'll be changes there too !.
What a great way to generate a whole load of new member's, make it a no rules board and watch the idiots pour in !.
There's lots of great members on triedia.com but lets to totally honest at this point, it's seen as the elitefitness dropout board.
I know these last few comments won't make me any new friends but it's a fact which has been said both here before and off this board.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Triedia is going to go in the future, I'm told and reasured that exciting changes are ahead and I'm looking forward to being apart of this.
But one change in the future on Tri. is the first time we see someone posting.."I remember this board when it was new and the mods were great, blah blah blah".
People will always look back with fond memories and Triedia just like this board will hit a rough patch.
Then what will happen ?, the same people will jump off the sinking ship onto the next 'no rules' board and the place will be left with people like you 68GT, Me and a few other's who are still sticking in here with elite.
Ok Got to go to work. Sorry for the long reply, and May if your reading this please don't take this as a personal insult to you by using your name. It's just May is someone I was very familiar with.

Regardless of what is edited or deleted, you seem to have a problem with it. And, usually without even really having a full idea or knowledge as to what's going on. Thus, it often appears that you complain not with a purpose but simply to complain.

Musclebrains obviously has a problem with Buksoon being banned, and I certainly respect his opinion. (And I had NOTHING TO do with her being banned either). But, he doesn't consistenly attack every single post that is edited or deleted.

If you want a censorship free board, then ask George for one. But, it's my understanding that objectionable material should be edited----Please see TOS, for what is considered offensive or objectionable.

All in all, you seem to want moderators who don't do their jobs---who edit absolutely nothing...even when there is content that clearly violates the terms of service.

If you want that type of moderator out of me-----you aren't going to get it. ...I'll do what I've been asked to do, until Mr. Spellwin no longer asks me to do it.

So complain or attack me all you like...that is certainly your right...Just as its my right to continue doing what I've been asked to do.

I have a problem with it too. And I find it real odd that nobody knows who got her banned. :rolleyes:
 
People know my opinion so I will not state it again. I will say that using the TOS argument is very weak. If that is how you are going to moderate then you and the other mods should be editing and deleting at least 95% of what is posted on this board. Please do not give my that grey area bullshit because there is none in my mind.
 
So who deleted the steel beast thread?

I guess some of the mods just cannot deal with people discussing their actions.

I suggest a rope and a tree if you are that bothered by a thread.
 
I haven't deleted or edited anything today...so, I've had nothing to do with the Steel Beast thread deletion.

I think you should ask Santa for a new set of glasses this christmas, or maybe a "Hooked on Phonics" learning kit, because you aren't getting my point. I complain about posts being locked because the only ones that get locked are the ones concerning you or ones that discuss why members get banned. It's like a big conspiracy to discuss those that get booted. Why don't you lock some threads that are vulgar or offensive?

That is my problem sir. I will not ask George for a censorship free board, since YOU seem to be doing all the censorship. When George is locking threads and personally banning people, then I will confront him concerning this.

By the way, why don't you live up to the responsibilities of your actions and stop hiding behind George Spellwin, Ryan. You truly make me sick with this off topic bullshit. If you're going to post on my thread, at least make a feasable arguement.

one more thing, in the TOS, please cite where it says we are not allowed to discuss banned members. I have failed to find this detail.

Finally, my gripe with you isn't that you are bad person or offensive or even whatever. My problem with you and velvette is that you have taken your position as a moderator to an unfair level. You lock threads that YOU deem as unworthy to stay open even though the TOS makes no mention of this. The other moderators do their job. You take it too far.

I've always made it a policy to admit when I have deleted or edited a post. If you ask me, I'll tell you whether or not I've modified a post. As I've done in the past.

But, you continously accuse me of editing or deleting all the posts, when you're just absolutely unequivocally factually wrong!!
Mr. Spellwin has record of who edits and modifies all the posts, and if it were only me, he would know it. But, that's just not the case.

Too bad that you're angry....Tis the season....And remember, the facts are everything....hyperbole and second rate guessing is not.

Listen, I'm just asking you and "other" mods to chill. I see like 10 threads on the first page that regard racism, gaybashing, and the like, but you don't go and lock those.

GUys give RyanH credit for jumping in a giving his view to every thread like this. If only every other moderator were as 'hard working' and conscientious in their duties here.
The boards which people have been complaining about lately are the boards where (sometimes) the moderators of their respective boards are lazy and lack the imagination to promote their boards better.
