My little dog George, a border collie, started limping on Sunday. George is an ultra frisky good natured clutz... and he seems to whomp himself or have some kind of accident every couple weeks. Only, this time he didn't get better. When he was still limping on Wednesday I took him to the Vet. The Vet said it was bad, really bad... but he wouldn't know what it was till he opperated. So I had to leave George there overnight. (George is a total chicken pooch. He'll rally to the cause to defend his home or family... but he goes through life a little overwhelmed by the world. I hated the idea of him being away from home and spending the night in a lonely kennel after surgery all by himself.)
The doctor opperated on George last night and said it was a torn ligament in his paw. He fixed it... and I got to pick Geroge up today... but now Geroge's limp is even worse. He's got this huge bandage wrapped around his paw... can barely walk... and is obviously in pain. It's really hard to watch him having such a difficult time.
I hate things that you can't do anything about.
